Q: What kind of camera equipment do you have?

A: Rachel Anne Seymour has a Canon 5D Markii and a Canon 40D camera body, and top-of-the-line canon lenses, including a long telephoto lens, wide angle lenses and a micro lens to get those little details, like your rings. She also uses her own portable studio lighting with a battery pack. Want to take sunset shots in an open field? Not a problem with the battery pack. After your photography session is done she'll backup all her work onto external hard drives. No need to worry about the computer crashing. You're moments are safe.

Q: What photography experience do you have?

A: I have been working in photography for almost a decade at not only daily newspapers, but with wedding photography companies as well. I have extensive experience with natural and studio lighting. In 2009, I was selected to attend the premier Eddie Adams Workshop, where only 100 photographers are chosen on an international scale. In 2011, I was also recognized by the Atlanta Photojournalism Seminar.

Q: Can we meet in person?

A: Yes, I prefer to meet with all of my potential clients. It's important to make sure we are a good fit for one another. If we can't meet in person then we can have a phone consultation or even meet through Skype.

Q: What should I wear for my photography session?

A: First and foremost wear something that makes you feel comfortable. If you aren't comfortable it will show. Dress for the location and the occasion. Solid colors are safe, easy and always look good, but don't be afraid to be dramatic. Go for a theme or a decade. Have fun. For most portrait and engagement sessions two or three outfits with one or two locations are ideal.

Q: Can I share some of my ideas with you?

A: Yes, I would love for you to share some of your ideas with me. Let's teamwork.

Q: How many photographs do you take and how many do you edit?

A: I take anywhere from 600 to 2000 photographs depending on the type of session. Expect about 50 to 75 (or more) photos per hour I am photographing your event.

Q: How long until I get to see my photographs?

A: For senior, family and engagement sessions it takes three to four weeks to edit and upload photographs to your private online gallery. For wedding photographs expect to see them in four to six weeks. I can post some images to Facebook or a blog as I edit. Let me know if that works for you. A DVD with your high resolution photographs will be mailed to you as soon as the gallery is live. View an online example gallery. The access code and password are "example."

Q: Can photography prints be ordered online?

A: Yes, I like to keep my prints at a reasonable price. I earn my pay with my creative and unique style, not by selling print. You can also make prints anywhere else you would like since I release rights to you.  View an online example gallery for print prices.  The access code and password are "example."

Q: Can I see a full wedding or portrait session of your work?

A: Yes, I can show you both large and small weddings, as well as full portrait sessions I have photographed. Just ask.

Q: As a documentary photographer and photojournalist will you do portraits at my wedding?

A: Yes, of course. I can provide you a list of formal portrait ideas to help keep things organized. It works best to keep it simple. Make sure you allow about 30 minutes for formal portraits in your schedule. The rest of the day is all about natural moments and enjoying life.

Q: Do you offer discounts for off-day weddings?

A: Yes, I offer 25% off ($150/hr) for weddings on Sundays and Fridays when available. I can not currently offer any reduced rates for Mondays. For a full list of my prices visit the investment page.

Q: Do you travel out of state to do photography?

A: I can travel anywhere in the United States you need me to be. Clients are responsible for travel costs, including but not limited to flights, car rentals, hotels and meals. For weddings and some portrait sessions that are more than two hours outside the Tulsa and Kansas City area, a hotel room is required for the night before and the night after the photography session.

Q: How do I book a session with you?

A: Send me an email with your photography date. I book events on a first-come-first-serve basis, and I won't schedule more than one wedding in a day. I also shoot a limited number of weddings and portraits in a year to give myself opportunities with other forms of photography. It's about quality, not quantity. If I have your date available I can save it for you as soon as I get a $350 non-refundable deposit (I accept cash or check or paypal payment) and a signed agreement. Checks should be made out to Rachel Anne Seymour. If someone else inquires about your date before you have officially booked with me I will let you know.
